Superior’s 2nd Rectors Conference

Superior University organized its 2nd Rectors Conference themed ‘Transforming Higher Education Institutes to produce 21st Century Graduates’ on 27th November 2019 at Governor House, Lahore. Over 50 VCs, 25 Industry CEOs, 10 Government Representatives and 15 International Delegates from USA, Sweden, Germany, Indonesia, and UAE participated in the conference.

Honorable Governor, Mr. Muhammad Sarwar graced the event as Chief Guest and expressed his pleasure and appreciated Superior for organizing the Rectors Conference. He commended Superior for playing a leading role in the education sector and assured his support in implementing the proposed policy that will be formulated as a result of recommendations gathered from the conference.

Esteemed guests including the Minister of Higher Education, Mr. Raja Yasir Humayun, Chairman of Punjab Higher Education Commission, Mr. Fazal Kahlid, the Consul General of US, Ms. Catherine Rodriguez and President of Pakistan Medical Commission, Mr. Arshad Taqi endorsed the initiative of Rectors Conference and promised their support to Superior for betterment of entire academia and a bright future for the graduates being produced.

The agenda of the conference comprised of keynote addresses by honorable guests and 3-panel discussions on The Future of Higher Education, Innovation and Commercialization Strategies in Higher Education and Best Practices of International Higher Education Systems.

Rector Superior University, Dr. Sumaira Rehman shared her vision to make The Superior University an entrepreneurial university of Pakistan and said “We need to strengthen the objective-based education in order to ensure the quality based productivity level. We need to bring innovation to our teaching pedagogies because I firmly believe that without innovating the existing system we won’t be able to produce the graduate of the 21st-century”.

The conference served as a networking platform to all stakeholders and laid the foundation of a framework designed to produce 21st-century graduates.
