The BS Data Science program at Superior University is a 4-year undergraduate degree at the intersection of mathematics, statistics, computer science, and domain knowledge. Students develop expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning, deep learning, data engineering, SQL and NoSQL databases, data visualization, big data technologies, cloud data platforms, and business analytics — using Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI, TensorFlow, Spark, and AWS/Azure data services.

The program prepares graduates for careers in data analysis, machine learning engineering, data engineering, business intelligence, and research — across technology, finance, healthcare, government, and manufacturing sectors. The 3U1M model ensures one full year of data industry engagement before graduation.

Character

Data Ethics & Honest Analysis — Data scientists influence decisions affecting millions — through biased models, cherry-picked statistics, and misleading visualizations. This program builds analysts who present data honestly, flag model limitations explicitly, and refuse to allow data to be manipulated to support predetermined conclusions.

Courage

The Courage to Find Patterns Nobody Has Found — Great data science requires the intellectual courage to explore data without a predetermined hypothesis, acknowledge uncertainty in findings, and publish results that contradict what decision-makers expect or prefer.

Competence

Full-Stack Data Science Technical Mastery — Students develop hands-on competence in Python, R, SQL, machine learning, deep learning, data visualization, big data, cloud data platforms, and MLOps — producing data scientists who can collect, clean, analyze, model, and deploy data solutions across real-world organizational environments

Why choose BS Data Science at Superior University?
